The final round of MIDA Filmmaker Plan
will be held from 7th June to 10th June, with 5 outstanding proposals coming out of 15 proposals picked by MIDA Academy. This year "Outstanding Female Director Award" and "Outstanding New Director on Campus Award" will be given for the first time to help female directors and new directors as MIDA will provide them with financial, technology, platform and channel support.
We are glad to find many female directors of great promise from past Director Projects as they showed as excellent creativity and artistry as male directors with their unique angle. To help Chinese female documentary directors work out more creative proposals, MIDA Filmmaker Plan
join hands with Shanghai Naivee Costume Design and set the new "Outstanding Female Director Award".
Student Directors also played an important role in the past three years as they bring the future of Director Project with their youth, sensitivity, dedication and passion. It is because of them that MIDA Filmmaker Plan
is able to move on. This year, a new "Outstanding New Director on Campus Award" will be given besides five outstanding proposals to find the most promising new director on campus.
